VISUALIZATION FOR MENTAL REHEARSAL

VISUALIZATION FOR MENTAL REHEARSAL
Performance Enhancement For Business — Creativity — Arts — Sports

HYPNOSIS ENHANCES VISUALIZATION: Scientists have proven visualization proceeded by hypnosis, deep relaxation, is much more effective than visualization used at the conscious level. The deeply relaxed state produced by hypnosis bypasses the conscious mind and accesses the subconscious mind. Hypnosis speeds up the learning process, which enables the information to be embedded at a much deeper level. The benefits received from visualization are equally applicable to sports, business, creativity, the arts, and all other performance enhancement endeavors.

BENEFITS FROM VISUALIZATION FOR PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT:

  • The mind doesn’t distinguish between actual or simulated performance.
  • Visualization is a perfect supplement for performance enhancement it improves muscle memory.
  • Consistently practicing or visualizing a skill creates neuromuscular templates in the brain.
  • These neuro pathways guide movements and help create a smooth fluid performance.
  • Scientists have determined muscles fire during visualization the same as in actual performance.
  • Each performance step is visualized with perfect execution. This process enhances confidence.
  • This process helps create the ideal psychological state for Peak Performance in all endeavors.
  • Mental rehearsal enhances concentration a key component of mental toughness and intelligence.
  • This process is utilized in the development of new skills it speeds up the learning process.
  • This process develops automatic conditioned responses, which is a key to Peak Performance.
  • Mental rehearsal is the creative and disciplined use of our imagination.
  • Research indicates athlete’s reaction times can be accelerated using mental rehearsal.
  • When athletes are injured they use visualization to maintain and also enhance their skills.
  • Serious golfers use visualization in the winter to enhance skills and work on their weak points.
    • Science tells us human beings only use 10% of their mental capacity or potential. The process allows us to tap into the other 90%, this increases our competitive edge.
    • Relaxation and visualization before a competitive situation reduces stress / increases confidence.
    • The hypnosis experience is one of the most powerful tools in helping someone out of a slump.
    • In the creative or innovative process new ideas or patterns can be seen in a step by step approach.

Many highly successful athletes invest the extra 10% their difference maker. They will watch films of their competition this is done at the conscious level. Then they take it to the next level during hypnosis they implant those pictures in their sub-conscious mind and they also visualize their reactions. During the competition they have a heightened sense of awareness and their reaction time is improved because of deeper anticipation skills.

THE POWER OF HYPNOSIS

HYPNOSIS

THE POWER OF FOCUS

HYPNOSIS A FOCUSED STATE OF MIND: Hypnosis is a very relaxed state that allows us to bypass our conscious mind and access our sub-conscious mind. 12% of our brain function is accomplished at the conscious level. 88% of our brain function is accomplished in the sub-conscious mind. Everything that has ever happened to us is stored in our sub-conscious. It is our long term memory bank. Most of our beliefs, habits, confidence, and self-esteem were programmed into our sub-conscious the first nine years of our life. When we learn new skills, habits and belief systems, neural pathways are etched on the brain.

AN ALTERED STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS: We take drugs and alcohol to alter our state of consciousness. In the sixties and seventies, people used hallucinatory drugs to alter their perception of time and space to cause their senses to merge. The end results were anxiety, fatigue, dizziness and restlessness. Hypnosis can produce a very positive altered state of consciousness that creates a more productive mind-body connection. The meditation process produces alterations in the visual perception of sensory and formal properties of the object and alterations in ego boundaries. The end result is a more relaxed state with deeper levels of concentration which creates a physical and mental peak performance state. This state of mind allows us to achieve at a much higher level.

SUB-CONSCIOUS MIND: The sub-conscious receives information in three different ways, visual (seeing), auditory (hearing) and kinesthetic (feeling). The most important thing to understand is the sub-conscious is not analytical or judgmental. The mind is very literal it assimilates all the information as it is presented. The sub-conscious will not accept information that is contrary to its moral beliefs. Your perception over time becomes your new reality. Truly understand your brain is the computer that runs your mind and body; as your mind’s programmer it is your responsibility to give it the right information. When you consistently use powerful positive words, pictures and feelings you program yourself for success in everything you do. Unfortunately most people do just the opposite, they program themselves for failure with negative words, self-limiting beliefs, fearful emotions and visualizing failure instead of success.

HOW HYPNOSIS WORKS: Positive suggestions, ideally using all three modalities auditory visual and kinesthetic, are programmed into the sub-conscious. The hypnotist and client should work together to produce suggestions that have the highest emotional impact for the client. Hypnosis changes the client’s perception of the situation and creates new more effective habits and attitudes.

In the book, Altered States of Consciousness, the authors list nine characteristics of the hypnosis psychedelic experience that supports creativity:

1)     Increased access to unconscious data.

2)     More fluent free association. Increased ability to play spontaneously with hypotheses, metaphors, paradox, transformations, relationships, etc.

3)     Heightened ability for visual imagery and fantasy.

4)     Relaxation and openness.

5)     Sensory inputs more acutely perceived.

6)     Heightened empathy with external processes, objects and people.

7)     Aesthetic sensibility heightened.

8)     Enhanced sense of truth, ability to see through false solutions and data.

Lessened inhibition, reduced tendency to render premature negative judgment

Team work

I hate to admit this but this blog isn’t for everyone. There is a golden rule in business the 80/20 rule. The rule states the top 20% in any peer group will generate 80% of the group’s results. The top 20% of any team will score 80% of the team’s points. Although I have had some company presidents tell me, now it is almost 90/10 in the business world. Again the goal for this blog is help individuals and groups be in the top 20%. The problem is 80% of the people in the world are satisfied with just being average, doing just enough to get by. They haven’t found their true Purpose, a reason for being. This blog is for the people who want to achieve more with their lives, to be difference makers. A large focus will be on using hypnosis to enhance creativity and innovation. In Daniel Pink’s book, “A Whole New Mind” he talked about the need for more creative people in the business world, he claimed right brain people will rule the future. My goal is to help people bring creativity and innovation to every aspect of their lives. I will challenge individuals and groups to find their true purpose and to live a    life of purpose meaning.
